Amanda Horvath is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Audit and Assurance Services Group. Amanda provides a wide variety of services to KSM clients including financial statement audits, reviews and consulting projects involving compliance and internal control issues and audit report quality review. Amanda’s background includes both public and corporate accounting. Though she has experience in a number of industries, her main area of focus is not-for-profit accounting. Amanda serves on the firm’s Not-for-Profit and Government Services Groups.
Amanda graduated cum laude from Butler University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. During her senior year, she was selected as one of Butler’s Top 100 Students based on academic achievements and contributions to the university. Amanda continues to expand her professional education by attending the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) Governmental & Not-for-Profit training program each year, learning about developments directly from regulators and standard setters.
Amanda is a member of the Indiana CPA Society, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and AICPA’s Not-for-Profit Section. She is a 2010 graduate of the United Way of Central Indiana’s leadership development program, Leadership United, Ardath Burkhart Series. Amanda recently served as treasurer of the board of directors of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and has served as secretary of the Network of Women in Business. She is currently the secretary of the SON Foundation and is involved with the choir at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church.
