Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Justin Hayes, director in the firm’s Governmental Services Group, will present at the Central Indiana Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants’ 2019 Conference. Taking place on Sept. 19 in Indianapolis, the conference will bring together state and local finance professionals to discuss the latest updates in governmental accounting.

Hayes will host a session called “Updates to Yellow Book and Uniform Guidance Standards.” The session will cover the 2019 Compliance Supplement and its significant changes to requirements under the Uniform Guidance Standards and will cover an analysis of changes to the Yellow Book standards. Hayes will provide an overview of how to comply with these new requirements to ensure entities are compliant and audit-ready in light of these changes.

The conference will also cover a variety of other topics, including intergenerational workforces, a Governmental Accounting Standards Board update, the future of auditing, and more.
