800 East 96th St., Suite 150
Indianapolis, IN 46240
Format:Seminar

Katz, Sapper & Miller’s Transportation Services Group, along with KSM Transport Advisors and the TCA Profitability Program, will present the "TCA Profitability Seminar: Filling the Gap Between Knowing and Doing" to discuss best practices in the transportation industry. Taking place Dec. 4, 2018 at KSM’s conference center in Indianapolis, IN, attendees will have an opportunity to share their successes, struggles, and strategies while learning about actionable initiatives from industry-leading speakers.

Transportation company owners, CEOs, and CFOs have been asked to complete a “Knowing-Doing Gap Survey,” which will help measure the knowing-doing gap and its potential effect on the performance and profitability of a trucking company. Carriers’ input will provide a better understanding of the gap between what is believed to be a best practice in the trucking industry and what practices are actually occurring in trucking companies.

During the seminar, Tim Almack, partner-in-charge of KSM’s Transportation Services Group and Chris Henry, program manager of the TCA Profitability Program, will present results from the Knowing-Doing Gap survey and discuss how to use this information to achieve greater profitability. David Roush, president of KSM Transport Advisors, will discuss freight network optimization and why it is so important in the current environment. Jason Miller, partner, and Troy Hogan, director, in KSM’s Transportation Services Group, will update attendees on tax and accounting changes that directly impact the industry.

A panel discussion on potential future challenges and opportunities for trucking companies will include industry leaders Thom Albrecht, CFO, Celadon Group, Jack Porter, Managing Director, TCA Profitability Program, and Karen Smercheck, President, Veriha Trucking. John Lyboldt, President, Truckload Carriers Association, will also discuss ideas for retaining a better workforce.
